Knicks Randolph unhappy with benching

New York Knicks forward Zach Randolph said he would make the best of his getting benched.

"We're losing, so we've got to do something," he said, but he was clearly unhappy.

"I ain't came off the bench for six, seven years," Randolph said. "I don't plan on doing this for a long time. It ain't like I played my way out of the lineup."

Whats the use. Theres no good 5 players in any combination you can put on the floor for the Knicks. Even if there were Thomas wouldn't be able to figure it out anyway. Doesn't matter who's on the bench, bottom line this team is a disaster from the top down.

This seems to happen all the time with New York. Another big name guy who can't score/play with a Knicks uniform on. I don't see the problem with the players but I do with a coach that has his mind on other woman (I mean things) They need a Phil Jackson type coach that can control the dressing room and players respect.

I totally agree with you Jeremy. All of a sudden the Blazers have won 11 games in a row and the Knicks are the worst team in the league. I wondered why the Blazers traded Randolph for Francis and Frye? Now I know why. Randolph, as good of a scorer that he is, is not a defensive presence and he does not make his teammates better.
I just think the Knicks should look forward to 2009 and hope they land a top 5 pick in the draft. Hopefully a guy like OJ Mayo, Rose, Hansborough or any one else. I just hope Isiah gone by then so he wont hurt any of these rookies confidence.

If this team wasn't so full of overpriced PUNKS...would we even be having these convos?

Attention all NYKs fans, the biggest problems are Lil Arseface Jimmy and IT. Under their leadership, the NYKs have assembled a group of players who seem incapable of performing well together. In addition, the players seem to have decided, consciously or not, that either IT goes or they go, but they aren't going to perform for IT. The next biggest problem is all of you who are filling seats at the Garden and feeding the Dolans' coffers by watching MSG and subscribing to Cablevision. If you keep buying it and eating it, they will gladly continue serving it.

Why is Zach sitting? Curry shows no passion no force and of course no defence from the 5 spot. He's not even scoring which is the only skill he has. Okay Zach may not pass to often, but he fights on the post
for position. He wants the ball, not seconds on dessert like Curry. Oh something thats buggin me about the guards could you get the post man the ball as soon as he gets position. Watch they get the ball in the post 1, 2, sometimes 3 seconds before they get the ball, by then the defender has position. You know that could help Curry, and Eddie please stop setting up 15 feet away from basket.

The Knicks are a mess no matter what combination is out on the floor. I'm surprised that Randolph isn't dropping hints about wanting to get out of Thomasville before it ruins his reputation.
Wait a minute, low post scorer, average defender and rebounder, my bad (to use a phrase Randolph would use). Reputation already known.

maybe zach should be asking him why portland is doing better without him even though they dont have oden. its called chemistry and ball movement. when you shoot the ball 90% of the time that it touches your hand, and dribble out half the shot clock every time like zach does, it hurts the team.

At this point with the Knicks it don't matter who starts who finishes or who is complaining. It's a total joke. who really cares?? They should just pick 12 guys out of the crowd and suit them up. They could'nt do any worse than these bums.

pg = robinson, just make him the assist man and a few threes here and there
sg = crawford, proven scorer, though he gets them in bunches
sf = richardson, though he dont look as good now as when nash was dishing him for wide open threes in phoenix...
pf = lee, this dued is a beast on d , just put him out there for that reason alone, plus a lot of energy
c = randolph. let him start, hes big enough to d it up on the large guys and he can score inside and rebound.
the knicks need to rebound and pass teh rock, if you look at any knicks boxscore - they have twice as many turnovers as assists, steals, etc on the average. curry is an overpaid, overweight loser. if i had his body i would be a BRUISER!
